Kyiv, 29 September 2015 – Civic activists from different regions of Ukraine participated in the Openness of Law Enforcement System conference, organized by the Association of Ukrainian Human Rights Monitors in Law Enforcement (UMDPL) and the Ombudsperson's Office with the support of UNDP Ukraine.
On 20-22 February 2015, a 3-day training session on the National Preventive Mechanism implementation was held for regional representatives and regional coordinators of Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights in a suburb of Kyiv.
On 4 November, Ukrainian human rights defenders and the Ombudsperson presented to the UN Committee against Torture their alternative reports on Ukraine's implementation of the provisions of the Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment (CAT)*.
On 23 September the Ukrainian Ombudsman delivered her speech at the session of the UN Council for Human Rights in Geneva during the discussion concerning strengthening of the international efforts in order to prevent violence against children.
On 5-6 November Ukraine shall report in Geneva on the implementation of the UN Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment. This report shall be the sixth Ukraine's National Report since ratifying the Convention in 1987.
29 May 2013, Kyiv – One in the series of trainings “The Psychological Adjustment of Home Aggressors” took place at the Office of the Ukrainian Ombudsperson bringing together practicing psychologists from the centers of social and psychological aid in Ukraine.
